The color ones work better than the B&W, the red in the blanket really brings out the beautiful wood.
I'm so jealous of that instrument! I just graduated with a degree in music from a private college, and I majored in viola. However, most of the other students at this particular institution are living on daddy's dollars and have instruments worth more than my car, while I had to support myself. But I made it all the way though with a $2200 instrument made in 1990 with a crack in the side, which I bought from a thrift store.
It's interesting that this violin is so old... it has a very contemporary design and shape to it. The tailpiece must be new as well, since it has holes for fine tuners. *sigh* Oh, and with an instrument that old, you might try to throw some catgut strings on it, the sound will fill out a ridiculous amount!
